Our successful Saturday Chef community cooking classes have something extra special planned for our next class. Normally the Saturday Chef classes are for adults, but if your son or daughter shows a passion for cooking, has a panache for pastry or just enjoys being in the kitchen, then the next Saturday Chef session is just the class for them!
On July 22nd, we will hold a Kids in the Kitchen class. Our chefs will help young aspiring chefs get on the right culinary track with some basic knife skills, sautéing, and roasting techniques. They’ll also get to prepare some simple sauces and, of course, eat their creations.
If your child has a keen interest in cooking or would appreciate gaining some hands-on techniques from a professional chef, then our Kids in the Kitchen class could be a terrific option for summer fun and learning. Give your youngster some basic lifelong lessons that will benefit them into adulthood. You could have a future chef on your hands who may want to pursue a career in cooking someday.
Saturday Chef classes are offered monthly and the cost is just $75 per person including materials, ingredients, utensils and supplies. Our classes are taught by professional Helms College chef instructors and enable you to create fabulous meals right in your own kitchen. Our upcoming classes for 2017 are:
- August 19th — Salads & Sides
