Helms College is pleased to announce our 4th annual reNew & Brew. This amazing event is set into motion by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA with all proceeds from the evening benefiting Helms College. It is scheduled to take place Friday, February 3rd at the Snelling Center next door to Edgar’s Grille. This year’s theme is Bow Ties & Blue Jeans.
In preparation for the event, Helms College staff and students sampled beers from many local breweries and created a menu of food pairings to complement the flavors of each beer that will be served at the event.
The evening promises to be a crowd-pleaser as guests will enjoy craft beers meticulously paired with hors d’oeuvres by Helms College chef instructors and students. In addition, there will be a silent auction of items purchased from Goodwill and repurposed by local artists. There will also be live music from Keith Gregory and much more!
This event serves as one of the many experiences students partake in as part of their training at Helms College. Students are exposed to a wide variety of skills and experiences that benefit them as they begin or advance their career. Unlike other culinary programs, we allow students to use their skills in actual restaurant, catering and cafeteria settings, such as Edgar’s Bistro in Macon or Edgar’s Grille in Augusta. Students also participate in the Annual Goodwill Gala and reNew&Brew, among other events held at Helms each year.
Helms College provides comprehensive, seamless educational foundations that give students the knowledge and skills needed to enter a career in culinary arts.
