The faculty and staff of Helms College’s Polly Long Denton School of Hospitality in Macon and the Augusta School of Hospitality in Augusta invite prospective students to tour the campuses and explore future career opportunities during our open house Saturday, August 27th, from 10:00 am until noon. An exciting career in the field of culinary arts awaits you at our Helms College Macon and Augusta campuses.
Preparing students for a career in the culinary arts with a hands-on approach to learning sets Helms College apart from other culinary schools.We offer training for a variety of careers in the hospitality field. Those who attend the open house can learn about the opportunities for career education offered at Helms College. Staff will be on hand to answer all of your questions about school programs, scholarships and financial aid options to help you get started on the path to your new career.
Prospective students and their families are invited to tour the campuses, meet instructors, and talk to admissions and financial aid counselors for information about enrollment. Refreshments will be provided, and participants will be treated to a cooking demonstration by faculty and current students. In addition, the Helms College computer lab will be available during the session for prospective students who need assistance in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Helms College provides Diploma and Associate Degree programs in culinary arts at the Polly Long Denton School of Hospitality in Macon and the Augusta School of Hospitality, and graduates are able to transfer credits to continue their education toward a Bachelor’s Degree at Johnson and Wales University’s culinary and hospitality programs. Helms College programs are nationally accredited and eligible for Title IV funding and Department of Veterans Affairs education benefits, with financial aid available for those who qualify. Enrollment is underway for the next quarterly class start on Oct. 10. Helms College is a subsidiary of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA.
